🇬🇧 The Pier 🇬🇧
The pier was made and constructed in 1865, it was £13,600. It was made out of Hardwood decking and on iron piles and it is 242 metres long. On the first day of opening the pier attracted over 7000 paying visitors!! Sadly in 1866 a huge storm destroyed 30 metres of the new pier… Also the old owners could not afford to repair the damage, so instead they decided to sell it but the new owners replaced the broken Pier with a new 70 metres, head gallery and refreshments stall.
In January, 1938 another with winds of 90 mph struck Aberystwyth and a destroyed most of the Promenade, along with 61 metres of the Pier.

El muelle fue construido en 1865 y costó 13,600£ . Fue realizada con una tarima de madera noble sobre pilotes de hierro, y tiene una longitud de 242 metros. El primer día de apertura, el muelle atrajo a más de 7000 visitantes que pagaron entrada para entrar. Lamentablemente, en 1866, una gran tormenta destruyó 30 metros del nuevo muelle... Además, los antiguos propietarios no podían permitirse reparar el daño, por lo que decidieron venderlo, pero unos nuevos propietarios reemplazaron el muelle roto con 70 metros nuevos, galería principal y puesto de refrescos.
En enero de 1938 otra tormenta con vientos de 145km/h azotó Aberystwyth, y destruyó la mayor parte del paseo marítimo y 61 metros del muelle.
Cosas que puedes hacer: Jugar al billar, 2 clubes nocturnos, un restaurante, helados y una sala de juegos.
