🇬🇧 Pen Dinas 🇬🇧
Pendinas is one of the most important and largest hillforts in west Wales, covering an area of 3.8 hectares. Pendinas is 120 meters high. The hill of Pendinas has two summits, a lower broader summit to the North and a higher more narrow summit to the South. It’s distinctive features are ramparts and ditched defences. It is known that the first for was built around 400bc, its was abandoned and then re-used with new features added several times. At its height Pendinas was a master piece of Iron Age architecture and engineering. The hill is also recognisable for the distinctive monument perched on the top. According to the plaque monumented on it, the monument was built in 1852 in the memory of the Duke of Wellington.

Pendinas es uno de los castros más importantes y más grandes del oeste de Gales, con una superficie de 3,8 hectáreas. Pendinas tiene 120 metros de altura. El cerro de Pendinas tiene dos cumbres, una cumbre más baja y ancha al norte, y una cumbre más alta y estrecha al sur. Sus características distintivas son las murallas y las defensas abandonadas. Se sabe que el primero fue construido alrededor del año 400 a. C., fue abandonado y luego reutilizado con nuevas características agregadas varias veces. En su apogeo, Pendinas fue una obra maestra de la arquitectura e ingeniería de la Edad del Hierro. La colina también es reconocible por el distintivo monumento encaramado en la cima. Según la placa grabada en ella, el monumento fue construido en 1852 en memoria del duque de Wellington.
