🇬🇧 The National Library of Wales 🇬🇧
The National library of Wales opened in 1907 and was designed by architect , Sidney Greenslade. From there it was known as a great tourist attraction holding over 1 million maps, eight hundred thousand photos , five million books and fifty thousand art works . One thing that makes the library very special is that it holds the first copy of the Welsh translation of the Holy Bible.
Welsh is its medium of communication but it does provide services through the medium of English.
In the year 2000 Peter Belwood, stole at least 50 antique maps from the library which were sold privately. He was arrested in 2004.
A fire broke out in April 2013 which destroyed a section of roofing in the building caused by electrical difficulties. A grant from the government of £625,000 is helping to restore the building damaged by the fire.
The National is a good place to visit. It provides a very interesting and entertaining view of Welsh culture and history.

Con el paso del tiempo se ha en una fuente de gran atractivo turístico, ya que dispone de más de 1 millón de mapas, ochocientas mil fotografías, cinco millones de libros y cincuenta mil obras de arte. Una cosa que hace muy especial a la biblioteca es que contiene la primera copia de la traducción galesa de la Santa Biblia. El galés es su medio de comunicación, pero también nos brinda servicios en inglés. En el año 2000, Peter Belwood robó al menos 50 mapas antiguos de la biblioteca que se vendieron de forma privada, y fue arrestado en 2004. En abril de 2013 se produjo un incendio que destruyó una sección del techo del edificio, fue debido a problemas eléctricos. Una subvención del gobierno de 625.000 libras esterlinas está ayudando a restaurar el edificio dañado por el fuego. La Biblioteca Nacional de Gales es un buen lugar para visitar, ya que nos proporciona una visión muy interesante y entretenida de la cultura y la historia de Gales.
